Born two years after her brother to Firelord Ozai (ruler of the entire Fire Nation), Azula grew up with every privilege of nobility. She studied at the Royal Fire Nation Academy for girls along with her "friends," Mai and Ty Lee. Early on, she showed signs of a natural gift for fire-bending and was later dubbed a prodigy. She also demonstrated a drive for perfectionism and malice as early as nine years old. She soon became Ozai's favorite child, and was likely privy to the assassination plot against her then grandfather Azulon (for whom she was named). At 11, she watched her brother humiliated and horribly scarred by their father for speaking out at a war meeting, with glee. Most recently, she has been charged with seeking the Avatar and arresting the traitors, Zuko and Iroh.
